Throughout lockdown, there was a surprising trend that saw people getting their Christmas trees back out and decorating them to celebrate all sorts of different occasions, just because.
From Halloween to Valentine’s Day, there were festive trees decked out in hearts and flowers and all sorts of spooky creatures.
And now it seems the quirky trend has resurfaced just in time for the Euro 2020 final.
Football fans have been creating Christmas trees inspired by the England team and as a result, the experts over at Christmas Tree World have shared their top tips for how you can make your own.
The team of experts have even turned their own 7ft Bianca White Tree to create a Euro 2020 tree to celebrate the upcoming England v Italy football match on Sunday.
They explained that they took the white artificial tree and used a selection of red baubles in different sizes and shapes to create a cross like the one on the England flag.
Those without a white tree could always use some fake snow to get the look and if you don’t have any baubles, you can get creative with tinsel, wrapping paper or just stick a bunch of mini flags into the branches.
Christmas Tree World added: “Admire the tree whilst watching the match!”
The England squad are heading to Wembley Stadium once again this weekend to play Italy in the final of the Euro 2020 tournament, after beating Denmark 2-1 on Wednesday.
It’s the first major final the England team have reached in 55 years.
But Italy will prove fierce competition for the Championship title as they currently remain unbeaten in their last 33 games.
